In July 2024, under the scorching summer heat of Saigon, The Best Rate embarked on a meaningful journey by partnering with VADO to carry out a charity program at Lam Quang Pagoda, District 8 – Ho Chi Minh City, a shelter for dozens of elderly women with no family or home.
Lam Quang Pagoda – A Sanctuary of Love
Lam Quang Pagoda has long served as a safe haven for elderly women without relatives or support. More than just a place of worship, it is a source of comfort and care for those in need. With a heart for giving and a commitment to community service, The Best Rate, in collaboration with VADO, planned a heartfelt visit to this sacred place.
Sharing Kindness – Spreading Happiness
Early in the morning, volunteers from The Best Rate and VADO gathered to prepare essential care packages, including:
- Daily necessities: rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, sugar, soy sauce…
- Personal hygiene items: diapers, body wash, towels, medicated oil…
- And small envelopes with warm wishes from The Best Rate team.
Upon arrival, the warm smiles and emotional glances of the elderly residents touched our hearts deeply. We came not only bearing gifts, but also stories, gentle handshakes, and sincere wishes for health and happiness. More than material things, we believe presence and empathy are the greatest gifts.
